Performers at the Benefit
Mark Thomas
British TV comedian Mark Thomas uses pranks and stunts to expose
questionable government and business practices. He's been described
as a "human time bomb who mixes comedy with old fashioned investigative
journalism" and as "irrepressible and devilishly clever"
by the Irish Times. The Guardian said recently of him: "Moving
and inspiring as gripping as any live performance you will see".
John Lenahan
Voted street magician of the year John Lenahan is one of the most
accomplished entertainers in the country. His own BBC2 series, Stuff
The White Rabbit, achieved record ratings. John has read thousands
of minds and levitated 20-pound Toblerone bars. He's described by
The Guardian as 'the mascot of a magical renaissance'
Mike Rosenberg
Mike has performed at previous Burma Campaign events and is back
now by popular demand. Timeless, beautiful songs, that flow seamlessly
with the spacious, musical sensibilities given by his writing partner
and producer, Andrew Phillips.
Heidi Vogel and Gustavo Marques
Brazilian singer/guitarist Gustavo is a leading light on the UK
samba scene and Heidi is considered to be one of the most exciting
new talents around. Her powerful vocals have already been heard
with the likes of Isaac Hayes, and Jade Fox.
