This Prison Where I Live
Q&A/Panel Discussion
A film about two comedians.
By the award-winning human rights film producer Rex Bloomstein.
Maung Thura, better known as Zarganar, is Burmaís greatest living comic. Relentlessly victimized by the Burmese military junta, he is now serving a 35-year prison sentence.
Michael Mittermeier, in stark contrast, is free to practice his art of humour and provocation as one of Germany’s leading stand up comedians.
Two men joined by comedy and separated by repression.
This Prison Where I Live is the story of these two men and their two countries and will be premiered in the UK on November 2nd At the Ritzy Cinema, Cold Harbour Lane in London.
The film will be introduced by Rex and Michael Mittlemeier at 6.15pm and will finish with a Q and A at 8pm followed a reception afterwards in the bar from 8.30 onwards.
