Will you join our “2010 Walk for Freedom in Burma”?
Please take part in the Burma Campaign UK’s “2010 Walk for Freedom in Burma”
The walk will take place on Saturday May 15th 2010 – it is a fundraising walk to raise money for Burma Campaign UK’s vital campaigning.
It’s not only an important way of generating essential funds for us, it also is a breathtaking walk over the picturesque South Downs in Sussex. The walk starts and ends at Goodwood Racecourse near Chichester.
We are encouraging our supporters to walk either 20km or 10km (about 12 or 6 miles) – in 2010. But at the event run by organisers “Across the Divide”, you do have the choice for more of a challenge to walk 40km or even 60km (37.3 miles) if you feel you can raise more funds by doing so.
You will be well looked after by the experienced event organisers who will provide you with:
- Full event plans and management plus support throughout the build up to the event
- Medical support team
- Training and fundraising advice
- Power stations along the route with snacks, drinks, medical support, big smiles and encouragement. Most also have toilets
- Marked and mapped route
- Complete safety back up
- Information and advice via website and phone
- Hot food at the start and on route
- Certificate emailed to you after the event
And to cover the cost of this support there is a fee, which will secure your place in the walk:
10km walk = £15
20km walk = £45
40km walk = £55
60km walk = £65

Only the funds you raise go to the Burma Campaign UK, the fee you send to us secures your place in the walk.
We will then be in contact with you about how to raise funds, including using a personalised fundraising webpage on Bmycharity.co.uk – which is an effective way to approach your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you.
