Exposing how the insurance industry supports Burma’s military-backed government.
French oil giant TOTAL Oil is the fourth largest oil company in the world and one of the biggest foreign investors in Burma.
In response to calls from Burma’s democracy movement, Burma Campaign UK and other campaign groups around the world have been pressuring companies funding the military-backed government to sever business ties with Burma.
Burma Campaign UK has ended its call for all tourists not to visit Burma, following a decision by National League for Democracy leaders to better target the boycott. The Burma tourism boycott is now targeted at package tours.
